Approximately 89.1 percent of the population identifies as Orthodox Christian, 2.9 percent Roman Catholic, 2 percent Protestant/Anglican, 1.8 percent Muslim, 1 percent Buddhist, other (includes Maronite, Armenian Church, Hindu) 1.4 percent, unknown 1.1 percent, none/atheist 0.6 percent. An estimated 98.8 percent of the population is Greek, other ethnicities make up 1 percent of the population which includes Maronite, Armenian, Turkish-Cypriot, unspecified ethnicities make up 0.2 percent of the population.
